Sensei Chambers and North Side Karate held a Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at its new location on Greens Parkway. The old, long-time location on Airline Drive was heavily damaged by Hurricane Ike prompting a move to a new location to ensure a high-quality environment for NSK students.

The new Dojo saw the return of several former long-time NSK students, parents, and supporters, as well as all of the current students and parents. The one and only Master Fred Simon was also present at the event.
